Our Mission
The Anne Arundel County National Organization for Women (NOW) is about standing up for equality and making sure everyone gets a fair shot, no matter their gender. We believe in empowering women and fighting against discrimination in all its forms--whether it's in the work place, at home, or in our community. Our group is passionate about creating a space where women's voices are heard loud and clear, and where everyone can thrive without social and legislative barriers holding them back.
Right now, we're working hard on some key issues that matter most to women in Anne Arundel County. That means fighting for equal pay, better healthcare access, and stronger protections against things like domestic violence and harassment. We also want to make sure reproductive rights are protected and that women have the resources they need to make choices about their own bodies. It's about creating a safer, fairer community where everyone can thrive.
At the end of the day, our goal is simple: to build a community where everyone feels valued and included. We want AACO to be a place where gender doesn't limit your chances or your dreams. Through advocacy, education, and working with local groups, we're pushing for real change--because equality isn't just a dream, it's something we're making happen right here.
