NOW AACO's Task Forces are the driving force behind the mission to achieve quality and justice for all women. Each task force focuses on a key issue--from reproductive rights and racial equity to economic justice and ending gender-based violence--turning passion into purposeful action. By joining a task force, members can collaborate, advocate, and lead meaningful change in our community and beyond.
Meet Our Task Forces, Groups, and Coalitions
The Anne Arundel County Chapter of NOW actively advocates for women's rights and gender and racial equality in the community. We organize events, educational programs, and campaigns to address issues such as reproductive rights, equal pay, and violence against women. Whether you are interested in following laws in Annapolis, or mentoring young females to be the next generation of feminists, we want you here.
Reproductive Rights
AACO NOW RRTF advocates for access to comprehensive reproductive healthcare and educates the community on reproductive justice.
Racial Justice
AACO NOW's RJTF works to address and combat racial inequality through education, advocacy and community engagement.
ERA Committee
AACO NOW's ERA Task Force promotes the ratification of the ERA into the Constitution and awareness of the Equal Rights Amendment to ensure gender equality.
Youth Feminists
The Anne Arundel Co. NOW Youth Feminist League empowers high school and college students as activists to advance gender justice through advocacy.
Legislative TF
The Anne Arundel Co NOW Legislative Task Force advocates for policy changes to promote women's rights and social justice at state and local levels.
